We are two sisters that love horses and want to facilitate a space for people to share special and meaningful experiences with them. Our farm is a beautiful place to have a break from the craziness of life, create memories, and reconnect with yourself so you can go back to your regular schedule feeling uplifted, renewed, and re-energized.

Emily Gingerich
I grew up riding on the family farm in western NY. At 17, I took a job to work on a guest ranch in Montana for the fall. The horses, the incredible country, and the adventure quickly got in my blood. For the next 7 years, I worked in places like Alaska, Idaho, and Australia leading pack trips on horseback in some of the wildest backcountry in North America.
Rachel Beiler
A horse lover from the start, I got my first horse at age ten and never looked back. Out of high school, I took my horseback riding and training skills to Montana, Idaho, and the Yukon working as a horse wrangler for dude ranches and hunting outfitters. Now, we are excited to live out our dream of owning our own horseback riding outfit.
About the Farm
Mountain Rose is 92 acres off a dirt road near Hammondsport, NY. The rolling land consists of woods, new growth, pastures, and a creek perfect for horseback riding and hiking. Situated in the center of the property are the Cottage and the Studio Loft, our comfy vacation rentals. Harvest Hosts RVers have a flat grassy area to park next to the creek. The original farmhouse, dating back to the 1840s, stages our trail rides.
We bought the farm in November 2021. That winter and the following spring we cleared out over a hundred dead trees and groomed the grounds. We opened the vacation rentals in June of 2022 and added trail riding that August. We're excited for the coming years and connecting folks with horses, the quiet of farm life, and the beauty of nature.
